From an early age, Denise began crafting her own stories, first through speech and then, as soon as she could write, by putting them on paper. Over the years, she ventured through various career paths, eventually discovering a true passion in the field of orthotics and prosthetics. Starting as an office administrator at a clinic, she later became an orthotic fitter. Still, the stories never ceased, constantly unfolding in her mind until the day she could finally write them down.
Now, entering a new phase of life, Denise is driven by the desire to share those stories with the world.
Denise Coulson and the Visionary Universe of The Center
From a very young age, Denise Coulson has lived as a storyteller. Long before publication deadlines and ISBN numbers, her imagination was already building worlds, characters, and futures that felt alive. Boxes of unfinished stories once sat quietly in her mother’s basement, holding what would later become a lifelong dream: to one day be a published author. That dream fully materialized with The Center, a science fiction novel born from both personal loss and profound hope.
Winner of the International Impact Book Award for Science Fiction / Fantasy, Denise Coulson is a novelist with a passion for exploring the intersections of science, spirituality, and
human resilience. With The Center, she delivers a story that is as expansive as the universe itself while remaining rooted in the relationships, choices, and courage of ordinary people facing extraordinary circumstances.
